Emanuele Bajo

Professor of Finance

Professor of Finance at the University of Bologna and Associate Dean at Bologna Business School, where he directs the Master in Finance. He holds an Honorary Professorship at the University of Queensland (Australia).

His research spans IPOs and capital markets, household finance and financial literacy, behavioral finance, corporate risk management, and the role of information and governance structures in financial markets. His work has appeared in leading journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Corporate Finance, and the Journal of Banking and Finance.

He serves as Executive Editor of the Journal of Economics and Business and is a member of the Consultative Working Group of the Risk Standing Committee of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). Earlier in his career he worked in business consulting in Barcelona and founded one of Italy's first major financial websites.
